FLATIRON— On April 18, chef Sam Mason, the ex-owner of Tailor and current star of Dinner with the Band on IFC, will take over the kitchen of George Mendes' Aldea. Mendes will serve up hors d'oeuvres for 45 minutes followed by five courses from Mason, all for $110 a head. Mendes says he plans on doing more guest chef nights like this in the coming months.
