Per a release this morning, the BLT Restaurant Group—a restaurant group that includes many BLT restaurants but no longer LT himself, Laurent Tourondel—is going Asian, now that they have American covered. Perhaps to make up for the big name they lost in Tourondel, they hired on Rodelio Aglibot (a celeb chef of sorts in LA and Chicago), who will provide "the culinary vision" for the new Asian arm of the group: "Aglibot will work with partners Jimmy Haber and Keith Treyball to create a variety of new Asian concepts, including an Asian grill and gastropub." Following in El Chod's footsteps we see.
The gastropubs will feature rustic food, of course meant for sharing (isn't everything these days?), and extensive beers lists. Stay tuned to see when they start rolling these puppies out across the country next year.
