2010 James Beard Awards, Final Nominees Announced

The James Beard Foundation, the grand arbiters of taste, just announced the final nominees for the 2010 awards, taking place this year on May 3. There are over 50 categories, so for those interested in all of them, see below. Otherwise, here are the New York highlights.

Best Restaurateur (Keith McNally and Stephen Starr), Outstanding Chef (Tom Colicchio), Outstanding Restaurant (Babbo, Daniel), Best New Restaurant (Locanda Verde, Marea), and Best New Chef (Gregory Pugin). The best chef in NYC will be a fight between Michael Anthony, Wylie Dufresne, Gabrielle Hamilton, Daniel Humm, Michael White.

And don't worry. There will be a Momofuku party bus after all. They were shut out of the restaurant awards, but there is a little thing called the Momofuku Cookbook.
