Otarian, JC Hibachi, Hecho en Dumbo, and More Coming Soon

1) Lower East Side: Bowery Boogie reports that JC Hibachi will open in former Open the Sesame space on Orchard Street. [PLYWOOD]

2) Carroll Gardens: Pardon Me For Asking gives word that Il Cuntuccio, a new brick oven pizza spot, will take over former Uncle Louie G's ice cream store on Smith Street in Brooklyn. [PLYWOOD]

3) Noho: Hecho en Dumbo, known for its authentic Mexico City cuisine, is relocating to the Marion's Continental space on Bowery later this week. Grub Street gives a slideshow first look at HED's menu and the plywooded space. Danny Mena and Ethan Smith are offering 68 seats that overlook an open kitchen, house-made queso and tortillas, and brunch on the weekends. [POST-PLYWOOD]

4) Red Hook: Grub Street brings good news about 5 Burro Cafe's opening on Columbia Street. The Cornejo couple hope to open their second location in close resemblance to their Queen's location in the former Pit Stop space. Get ready for outdoor margaritas this spring. [PLYWOOD]

5) Greenwich Village: Vegetarians get excited. Bowery Boogie notices the first signage for the new fast-food, veg-friendly spot called Otaraian that's opening soon. The Bleecker Street spot is the Australian chain's first East Coast location. [PLYWOOD]

6) Lower East Side: Chef Malik Fall (formerly of Blue Elm) will soon open Betty's in the old Boucarou space. On the menu: French/Senegalese cuisine and late night dancing in the red velvet seat room. Fall boasts artwork from local photographers and the "Romper Room" for private parties of 20. [PLYWOOD]

7) Williamsburg: Roving photo Will Femia spots a new place called Alma under construction on Roebling and South 3rd. [PLYWOOD]
