Alton Brown, Lidia Bastianich, Wolfgang Puck to Host JBAs

This just in over the press release wire: America's favorite airport chef Wolfgang Puck, restaurant world matriarch Lidia Bastianich, and grape juice lover and cooking nerd Alton Brown will be hosting this year's James Beard Awards on May 3. In a break for Kelly Choi, the Twitter happy gal will be co-hosting the media awards the night before. Last year's exceedingly long awards show was hosted by Julie & Julia's Stanley Tucci, Cat Cora, and Emeril Lagasse. The year before, they experimented with the curious pairing of Kim Cattrall and Bobby Flay. Alton will be a hoot for sure, but we've said it before and we'll say it again: Why don't they just give it to Padma and be done with it?

In the end, all that really matters is that they keep it under four hours.
