Death & Co. Looks West, Plans Los Angeles Outpost

Joey Campanero isn't the only big time New Yorker heading out West. Eater LA confirms earlier rumors that Ravi DeRossi, co-owner of East Village cocktail den Death & Co. (and a bunch of other EVill spots) is opening an outpost in Los Angeles. He has taken over a 2,000 square foot space in downtown LA that already has a liquor license and plans to make it very much like the New York original. And there's a bonus for the Angelinos: "Death & Co. NY's mixologist Alex Day moves to LA next month to head up this forthcoming operation." Hopefully the bar won't have the same neighbor troubles and liquor license snafus that plagued them during their first couple of years.
