Congrats to the The Rusty Knot, the nautical themed dive bar that celebrated its second birthday last night. The Knot's opening was both praised and ridiculed for its design and faux divey-ness (and even led to a little lovers quarrel), and making it two years in an iffy location during this economy should be congratulated. The party happened to coincide with the Knot's increasingly popular Monday night party bus, and to honor the occasion, owners Ken Friedman and Taavo Somer decided to amp things up a little bit. While offering the usual free beer, dancing, and cigarette friendly environment, the Rusty Bus also had a live band to entertain the passengers. Next week may feature the wax dripper from James McGown's party pad. Here's to many more years of nautical fun at the Rusty Knot.
