Van Leeuwen, Castello Plan, A+ Thai Now Certified Open

1) Williamsburg: We already mentioned earlier that Pies 'n' Thighs is certified open, but we wanted another chance to run more pictures. So there they are. And here's Eater friend Paul Caine live tweeting his lunch there. And here's Gothamist with some new tidbits about the menu, the burger, and the delivery program.

2) Greenpoint: Van Leeuwen ice cream truck has followed the footsteps of Dessert Truck and opened shop next to Manhattan Inn. The flagship, open since this past Saturday, is serving truck favorites with red currant and peppermint & chip additions. Status: Certified Open; 632 Manhattan Ave., 718-701-1630.

3) Upper West Side: Time Out NY brings word that The Tangled Vine Bar & Kitchen a wine bar focused on the green trend will serve over 160 selections from France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain with over 30 wines available by the glass and Mediterranean cuisine by Chef David Seigal. Status: Open tonight; 434 Amsterdam Ave., 646-863-3896.

4) Flatbush: Brownstoner reports a wine bar called The Castello Plan is now open in Ditmas Park by a local gourmet market. The Castello Plan offers 120 selections of wine, light bites, and cozy cuddling in its wood and brick interior. Status: Open since Saturday; 1213 Cortelyou Rd., no phone yet.

5) Midtown East: Midtown Lunch reports A+ Thai's $7.95 lunch special starting today. For $9.95, midtown lunchers can get an appetizer, entree and drink. The menu reads awfully similar to most Thai spots around the area, but it can't hurt to have another one right around the block. Status: Open since this weekend; 1007 2nd Ave., 212-207-8008.
