Why not right? Pizza, banh mi, burgers, cannolis, poutine—why not a restaurant dedicated only to meatballs, at last free from the shackles of pasta? Welcome The Meatball Shop, a 39 seat casual, counter service meatball restaurant opening tonight on Stanton and Allen. How it works: diners can mix and match five different kinds of meatballs served with four different sauces on sliders ($3), as meatball subs ($9), or on their own. To go with those piles of meat, they offer beer, wine, root beer on tap, various sides, and build-your-own ice cream sandwiches. The compartmentalizing of the LES continues.

They're open 5 PM – 4 AM this week, noon - 4 AM starting next week.
