Chefs Hit the Streets; John DeLucie In at the Lion

New, 5 comments

STREET FOOD— As promised, four celeb chefs took to the streets today to help promote NBC's new food site Feast (and, probably, to earn piles of corporate money). Liebrandt served up small portions fish 'n' chips in front of Home Depot, Boulud offered croque monsieurs, burgers, and dogs to the hordes in Midtown, Ducasse had brats, saurkraut, and tarte flambe for Union Square, and Michael White closed out the day with porchetta sandwiches in Soho. GREENWICH VILLAGE— Grub Street brings word that the Waverly Inn's John DeLucie is teaming up with an owner of Delicatessen on the upcoming restaurant in the old Village space, to be called The Lion. Hopefully, it will turn out better than the Charles partnership. [GS]

EAST VILLAGE— Fork in the Road reports that Question Mark Cafe on 1st Avenue has been shuttered by the Health. Department. [FitR]
