Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner Has a Bowling Alley in his Basement

New, 1 comment

Today the Post runs a profile on Austrian chef, restaurateur, divorcee, and dad Kurt Gutenbrunner and his fancy FiDi three bedroom rental. The piece is just a bunch of fluff about KG's daughters, his collection of mirrors ("It was important to me to see myself again"), the fancy chairs he collects for his home and restaurants; but it is weirdly fun to read about his amenities. Dude's Philippe Starck designed building has "an indoor pool, a bowling alley, a gym, a yoga studio, a playground, a half-court basketball area and a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace with a reflecting pool." Of course that's nothing compared to Jeffrey Chodorow's personal bowling alley in his Hamptons mansion, but that's apples and oranges there.
