A Sneak Peek Inside Pulino's, Now with a Working Kitchen

This week chef Nate Appleman finally began cooking in the kitchen of Keith McNally's upcoming Bowery pizza joint Pulino's, now just a couple of weeks out. Therefore, it makes sense that passersby witnessed a new hum of activity last night, when Bowery Boogie got those sneak shots above.

The pictures reveal cast-iron doors and some serious brickwork, and a tipster who happened by the scene and walked inside describes the restaurant thusly: "A glance beyond the plywood threshold revealed white-tiled walls, high ceilings with arches lined in copper; a long, bar-like structure and an abundance of shiny silver gas pipes which snake outside the building as well. Hanging light structures in the high, airy space make it a quintessentially Keith Mcnallian venue." It's set to open in the first week of March.
