Matt Torrey's, Blue Marble, Le Comptoir all Coming Soon

1) East Williamsburg: Matt Torrey's, a new bar from some of the people behind nearby bar staple Harefield Road, is opening on Feb. 19. A peek inside last week revealed a tin ceiling, hard wood floors, big banquettes, a huge beautiful bar, and plenty of space. They're hoping that in four to five months they can get a certificate of occupancy for the building next door in order to build a kitchen and serve food. A potential game changer on a bleak strip. 2) East Village: The owner of Winebar on East 4th Street and 2nd Avenue reveals that his new restaurant in the former Cremecaffe will be Peruvian. And though they are next door, the two restaurants will be completely separate entities. [PLYWOOD]

3) Cobble Hill: Brownstoner reports that a new location of Blue Marble Ice Cream will be opening on Sunday at Court and Wyckoff: "The big news is that, in addition to its trademark small-batch, grass-fed ice cream which it makes upstate, Blue Marble will be introducing a new line of soft serve ice cream..." [PLYWOOD]

4) Williamsburg: A reader reports that Sebastien Chamaret and Adrien Angelvy are opening a restaurant called Le Comptoir this spring in the former Cornichon space at 251 Grand St. [PLYWOOD]

5) FiDi: The former Bread & Olives space on John Street in FiDi is going to be something called It's A Pizza.

5) Chelsea: It's All Fare learns that a new Dunkin' Donuts is opening on a chain-filled block on 23rd and 6th. It's opening within a few blocks of a Cosi and three Starbucks. [PLYWOOD]
