Two Year Butcher Bay/Seymour Burton Saga Comes to an End

Butcher Bay, a short lived seafood restaurant born from the failure of another short lived and quirky comfort food spot Seymour Burton, has finally closed for good on East 5th Street. Back in 2007, Seymour Burton took over for a standby on the block, Le Tableau. It had great potential and an even better burger but was barely more than a construction zone. Unsurprisingly it was shuttered by the DOH for an extended period last July, underwent renos, reopened last February with some new big name owners on board and closed in November for even further renovations. Today it looks like the photo to the right.
