Subject: No Refund for Hairy Slice at South Brooklyn Pizza
We went to South Brooklyn Pizza on Court Street, brought our pizza home, and found an enormous hair wad baked into the cheese. It was about three inches long and consisted of at least a half dozen hairs knotted together. We called the number listed on the website, not realizing we were talking to the Manhattan location, and they apologized and told us to bring it back for a refund. Upon getting to the store, we realized we had called the wrong store, since the counter guy had no idea what we were talking about. He didnt want to deal with the situation at all, stared at us without responding and refused to give us a refund.
He didn't understand what was happening or what we were saying, and was unable or unwillling to help us. There was one other worker, who didn't speak any English, and just pointed at the unhelpful guy when we addressed him. We called back the phone number to the city location, and were told that since it was the other location, they couldn't help us. We ended up leaving, without our money back or a replacement slice for the $4 we spent. Although they seem to have some good employees, since we talked to one on the phone, the Brooklyn employees couldn't understand enough English to help us, even when confronted with a huge hair wad, which seems pretty universal.
Attached is a photo of the hair.
