Imperial Tavern, the new Lower East Side drinking den offering burgers served on doughnuts and $3 pints, may have just opened after clearing out a Staples of all of its neon poster board, but it might not be in it for the long haul. Though the place remains open and the owners seem psyched about the "newamericangastrotavern" concept, someone is shopping it around. As a follow up to our post today about Tonda, a Tower Brokerage broker tells Eater that the Imperial Tavern space is for sale for $325,000 with an $11,500 per month rent.
Also on the market, the recently closed two-level Sin Sin space ($20,000 per month), Peppe Rosso and Banjo Jim's on Avenue C, and the former Bonjoo restaurant on 1st Avenue. Want to open a restaurant? Now's your chance.
