Move over 4Food—New York has yet another customized burger shop. Counter, a California burger chain with a supposed cult following, is opening its first New York location in Times Square today at noon. The burger shop—which made it on Alan Richman's list of best burgers in America five years ago—offers a four different kinds of burgers in three different sizes, along with 12 cheeses, 33 toppings, 21 sauces and four types of buns.
And get this: According to press materials, this is "the first restaurant in New York City to have a 66-ft. long wrap-around, high resolution, four-color LED ticker and will feature a constantly moving row of burger photos and other graphics." Quite the achievement! Check out the menu here if you need to prep and a sneak peek over at Midtown Lunch. And send all early word this way.
