1) Midtown: Flo Fab reports that Sprig, a new Mediterranean restaurant from Mark Lukin and Melissa Lukin-Kotlyar, has opened in the old Lipstick Cafe space. Expect lamb meatballs, stuffed grape leaves, and kibbe of wild salmon. Status: Not open. Opening on Monday, December 6; 885 Third Ave., 212-249-4500.
2) Lower East Side: Grub Street brings word that Cocoran, a noodle shop on Delancey Street, is now open. They serve hot and cold soba noodles, along with Japanese appetizers like an omelet with bonito stock, and poultry cured in the style of pork. Status: Certified Open; 61 Delancey St., 212-925-5220.
3) East Village: Bowery Boogie reports that a new branch of Brooklyn's Oaxaca Taqueria has opened over on Extra Place. They serve a menu of tacos, enchiladas, and tortas with daily lunch specials. Status: Certified Open; 16 Extra Pl., 212-677-3340.
4) Midtown: A new flagship branch of coffee shop Oren's is now open in Times Square. Status: Certified Open; 1440 Broadway.
