It is often said that times of crisis are times of opportunity, so hats off to global spirits companies for taking advantage of Europe's recent economic woes by rolling out a new mojito product. How can there be a new mojito product? How about by pre-mixing it and serving it on tap! That's right, companies like Diageo have been rolling out the draught mojito across Spain, where a troubled economy has forced Spaniards to cut back on their drinking. The drink has been well received so far, primarily because they cost about 50% less than a regular mixed drink. So could it work here? Maybe if they Four Loko'd it and doubled the alcohol content and threw in a few servings of caffeine. It would certainly cut down on mixologist's trips to doctor.
