Mole, a scrappy little Lower East Side Mexican joint that last year expanded to the West Village and then announced plans for the Williamsburg waterfront has even more changes in the works. Owners Nick Cervera and Guadalupe Elizalde announce that they are closing their original restaurant Taco Taco on the Upper East Side on 2nd Ave. near 90th Street. They will move the restaurant across the street to 1735 2nd Ave. and will rebrand it as another Mole. With the move will come a larger bar and over 100 tequilas.
Meanwhile, they say the Williamsburg Mole on Kent Ave. should be opening very soon, after a year and a half of planning.
