In a curious move back in July, the powers that be at Graydon Carter's clubby Midtown restaurant Monkey Bar moved lunch service from the large and lavish dining room into the darker, more casual, and much smaller bar area. We worried it was because they wanted lunch to seem busier; they said they wanted speed up the service and create a more casual atmosphere.
Whatever the reason, the plans have been scrapped. According to the above "telegram," lunch will be served from here on out in the dining room. And as a bonus, there are some new dinner items.
