Here's some news that's sure to warm this soul. The Standard Beer Garden will no longer be restricted to operating during New York's more pleasant climate, and they are doing it all without free Snuggies. An Eater operative passed the space recently and noticed that Andre Balazs and company have erected a new enclosure —that previously promised marine-grade plastic perhaps—running from the base of the High Line to Washington Street, which combined with the existing heat lamps, helps make the space just right for winter beer drinking and pretzel eating. Win.
