John DeLucie to Court Celebrity Diners in Miami

New, 3 comments

Today the Wall Street Journal confirms Eater Miami's earlier rumors that The Lion chef John DeLucie is taking his brand of scenester cooking down to Miami. He is taking over as chef and proprietor at the Royal, the restaurant within the Raleigh hotel. According to the piece, the food down there will be very similar to what DeLucie currently serves at The Lion and once served at The Waverly Inn, which we think means there will be at least one pot pie on the menu.

And of course the chef—who thinks he has a cute ass—wouldn't mind if it becomes a celeb hangout, saying, "If you're gonna cook for someone, why not Leo DiCaprio?" Bingo.
