Kraft, Target, and Buick aren't the only big brands celeb chef and soon to be NYC restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson endorses. There's also Blue Star, a stove company that now sells a specially branded Samuelsson range, and to celebrate that fact, the chef invited industry folks and Harlem residents to check out his wares at his still-plywooded upcoming restaurant The Red Rooster last night.
Finger foods were passed, and Samuelsson had an update on his social media bartender search. Down to just 18 contenders, he elaborated, "They're all great at making drinks, but now we're looking for who's going to be the best up front. Who can work a crowd."
The large bi-level space is coming together nicely, with earth tones and a sizable oval-shaped copper bar front and center. Delayed for months, the official word is now three weeks.
