Eater sources write in to reveal that the New York Times photographer visited Michael White's uber-popular Italian trattoria Osteria Morini on Saturday night. Which either means they're doing a story on lambrusco or Sam Sifton is filing his expected review of the two month-old restaurant. Last week it earned a two spot from both Ryan Sutton and Plattypants, and it makes a lot of sense for Sifty to toe the line on this one. It's about as solidly two stars as a restaurant can get.
But then again, he could go three. Vote ahead and debate the merits, shortfalls, eccentricities of the restaurant and, why not, Sifton, in the comments. [Osteria Morini, by 8 PM, NYT]
