Top Chef judge and host Gail Simmons landed a book deal with Hyperion for a memoir "tracing her career from young cook to professional eater.” Apart from her experiences with TV and Food & Wine, Simmons spent time as a line cook at Le Cirque 2000 and JGV’s Vong, as a special events manager for Daniel Boulud, and as an assistant to Jeffrey Steingarten.
