Three weeks after Sam Sifton dropped a goose egg on Eddie Huang's LES Taiwanese joint Xiao Ye, the chef gets on the blog to announce a few changes based on feedback he's received from various sources. He writes, "We are going to increase portion sizes AND have individual portions for things like potstickers, head on prawns, bean paste noodles, minced pork on rice, etc...Same quality, same la frieda meat, all the shenanigans out the door."
Four-star restaurants raise their prices or drop a la carte options after their reviews; goose eggs go back to the drawing board. And add happy hours (two for one 6 - 8 PM).
