Boqueria Eyes DC; Cupcake Stop Expands to West Village

WASHINGTON DC—From an email directed at commercial real estate brokers, Eater National learns that the owners of the hit Spanish/Catalan tapas restaurant Boqueria are looking to expand the concept to Washington, DC. Another part of the email reads, "Our mission is to become the discriminating guest's preferred choice for Spanish cuisine in the United States by offering 'gastropub' quality Spanish cuisine and re-creating an authentic 'tapas bar' experience." WEST VILLAGE— Zagat reports that Cupcake Stop, a cupcake truck with a brick and mortar location in the Limelight Marketplace, is opening up shop on 70 Greenwich Ave. in the West Village. [Zagat]
