Two different inside sources reveal to Eater today that Eleven Madison Park's General Manager extraordinaire Will Guidara and chef Daniel Humm are in serious talks to run the entire food and beverage program at the forthcoming Nomad Hotel, just five blocks north of their restaurant. The hotel is meant to be a more high-end version of the Ace Hotel (it's from the same developers), so expect something a little more upscale than the packed gastropub The Breslin. But don't get too excited. The powers that be are talking to a number of major operators and could go in a number of different directions.
For what it's worth, official reps for the Union Square Hospitality Group say they've heard nothing of the talks. Still, it reveals what caliber the Nomad is aiming for.
Update: Will Guidara confirms that he and Humm have talked to the Nomad folks a couple times, "though its not as serious as suggested," adding that at the moment, "we are just learning what it’s all about."
