Feast those eyes on Jimmy, the new rooftop pool and bar that just opened at The James Hotel in Soho just in time for this little indian summer (or, more accurately, the summer that never ends) here in New York. It's the creation of nightlife man David Rabin and Hotel Griffou's Johnny Swet and Larry Poston. And it's got everything you'd expect or want in a swanky rooftop lounge—a pool, a fireplace, cushy chairs, a bathroom with a view, bartenders wearing Rag & Bone as uniforms, and $18 "carefully curated" cocktails featuring herbs from a garden on the premises. Bar food to come next year.

The real question now is, exactly how hard will it be to penetrate this door once it gets going and starts attracting a solid crowd?
