Winter doesn't officially begin in New York until Keith McNally erects his bright red vestibule at Balthazar. Just a fact of life. But some restaurateurs just want to be extra sure that their customers are safe from the occasional summer-like breezes we've been having this week, where the temperature is averaging about 72. Just a reminder that winter, while it may not seem like it, is indeed coming.
