Lowcountry Launches Chicken Dinners; Percy's Opening Soon

UPPER WEST SIDE—Former Times critic Mimi Sheraton announced a new round of her Musical Suppers up at the Philharmonic. The deal is, you go to a Philharmonic show, then you eat dinner in Avery Fisher Hall cooked by some of the country's best chefs. On the roster for December and January: Michael White, Marcus Samuelsson, Kurt Gutenbrunner, Andre Soltner, and Alain Ducasse. UPPER WEST SIDE—Bill Telepan is celebrating local artisanal cheeses from October 25 - 28 by offering a five course cheese-centric tasting menu for $75. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE— Lowcountry launches brunch on Sunday. Expect shrimp and grits with country ham and red eye gravy, Kentucky Hot Brown made with french toast, smoked chicken, tomato, bacon and parmigiano cheese. And on Monday, Lowcountry launches their first Fried Chicken and Football dinners: sweet tea-brined fried chicken with red pepper jelly and a choice of two sides, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw or barbecue black eyed peas for $19 a head.
