UPPER WEST SIDE—Yesterday, Jonathan Benno's Lincoln Center restaurant Lincoln launched a prix fixe lunch with two, three, and four course menus for $36, $46, and $56. This comes just after the restaurant launched brunch. [Zagat]
MIDTOWN—Crain's reports that Bice Restaurant on East 54th Street will probably close by January. The restaurant, which almost closed last year, filed a Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification notice with the Department of Labor, stating that it will lay off its 82 employees by January. It could either be a sign of an impending shutter or it could be the owner trying to get out of a labor contract. [Crain's]
YELPDOM—Harold Dieterle's take on social media: "I do suggest folks not to get so distracted reporting on their meal that they miss experiencing it fully--let alone the rest of the evening. I say, go home, make a little love, then post the Yelp review in the morning." [FitR via Eater NY]
