EMM Group Taps Top Chef's Hung Huynh as New Chef

New, 1 comment

Today the Post reports that Eugene Remm, Mark Birnbaum and Michael Hirtenstein of the EMM Group—they own Abe & Arthur's, Tenjune, and others—are taking over the East Hampton space that until recently housed Lily Pond. They will rename it next summer.

More interesting is their new chef acquisition. Top Chef season 3 winner Hung Huynh was last seen at club Ajna (f.k.a. Buddha Bar), but departed that gig about a month ago. Now he will serve as "the new culinary overlord" for the group's stable of restaurants and will help Franklin Becker on the menu for the upcoming Midtown restaurant Lexington Brass.
