Welcome back to the weekly Friday Shutter. Know of any other restaurant that has met its demise? Let us know.

2) Upper West Side: Zagat Buzz notices that neighborhood joint The Corner closed in August, but never reopened. A call confirms that the phone line's been disconnected — she's dunzo. [Zagat Buzz]

3) East Village: EV Grieve brings word that Celebrate Cafe, a coffee and sandwiches operation inside the Bower Poetry Club run by the Lower East Side Girls Club, has vacated the space with plans to reopen at the site of their sister shop, the Sweet Thing's Bake Shop at 136 Avenue C early next month. [EV Grieve]

4) The Village: A tipster writes in to report that Giant Bagel, a popular deli in the area, closed unexpectedly sometime this week. No word yet on whether the shutter is final, but there's no signs indicating otherwise. [Eaterwire]
