Michelin Fallout

2010_10_michelin-comments.jpgJosh Ozersky has an excellent column in TIME today about the Michelin Guides. He points out that, accuracy and methodology aside, a reader cannot understand why a certain restaurant received their rating based on the write ups in the book, which are "incredibly banal and uncritical...you have no sense of exacting standards, a century of tradition or global authority. It's just another crappily written restaurant guide." [TIME]
