Todd English is Everywhere; Brooklyn Beer Can Fest

Even during the chaos of opening 40 restaurants at once, running 75 others, belting out blues classics and being a heart breaker, the legendary Todd English also manages to sneak in a little personal time. He made an appearance at the launch of Saturday Brunch at Lavo, which seems odd considering that he runs a massive food court at the Plaza, a hotel that is home to its own Champagne fueled brunch party. Did he get lost on the way to the Plaza? Is he doing research for his own 24 hour a day Champagne brunch restaurant concept? Or is this just the work of a true genius who likes to keep the world off balance? [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG— Attention fans of beer in a can: Candemonium, a three day celebration of non-bottled, non-draft brew is coming to Williamsburg’s Full Circle Bar early next month. There will be tastings of over 40 selections from around the world, the price is $50 for one day, or $130 for all three, so if you can really pack away a lot of beer, there might be a deal in there somewhere.
