1) Union Square: Flo Fab reports that the Baked by Melissa storefront on 14th Street between 5th and 6th has opened: "It features her tender half-dollar size cakes topped with bright flavorful icing. There are now nine flavors, expanded from seven; some, like cinnamon, mint chocolate chip and peanut butter cup, have fillings, too." Status: Certified Open; 7 East 14th Street, 212-255-5526.

2) Midtown: A new location of Pump that healthy food spot that we think is geared towards body builders (?), opened in Midtown yesterday. Status: Certified Open; 150 East 52nd St., 212-421-3055.

3) Park Slope: A reader reports that Okeanos, a long awaited Mediterranean restaurant in Park Slope, opened yesterday. Of course there is already a Yelp review. Brooklynian has a copy of the menu. Status: Certified Open; 7th Ave at 8th Street in Park Slope.

4) Midtown: Flo Fab also notes that Matisse, a new bistro by Frederick Lesort has opened. Franck Maucort, a Les Halles alum, is the chef. Status: Opened five weeks ago; 924 Second Ave., 212-546-9300.

5) Park Slope: The Brooklyn Paper reports that Organic Heights in Park Slope is now called Sun in Bloom and has a new owner. But don't worry! They still serve organic and "living" foods. Status: Certified Open; 460 Bergen St., 718-622-4303.
