Doughnut Plant Location Confirmed for the Chelsea Hotel

After Momofuku's pork buns and Shake Shack's Shack Burger, the confections at Doughnut Plant on the Lower East Side are by far the most photographed items in the Eater Flickr Pool. So it's safe to say there's a strong contingent out there that is friggin psyched to hear that speculations from earlier today have been confirmed: the Doughnut Plant is opening shop in the old Dan's Chelsea Guitars space in the Chelsea Hotel. Though the chain has 27 branches in Asia and one in DC, this will only be the second NYC location. Per the Feed: "...for the very first time there will be tables where patrons can sit, plus a full-service espresso bar...Isreal is working on some new items for the debut of Doughnut Plant Chelsea that are 'going to be a surprise.'" Owner Mark Isreal is looking at an April or My opening date.
