The Nolitan and its Jimmy Bradley Restaurant Getting Closer

For the better part of '09, neighbors have been protesting the latest swanky downtown boutique hotel to potentially ruin the neighborhood, The Nolitan. (Please see a July community board meeting for more color.) However, the construction of the hotel, on Kenmare and Elizabeth, is still moving forward! And so is the development of its restaurant, owned by The Harrison and the Red Cat's Jimmy Bradley. Curbed learns the hotel has launched a preview site introducing potential guests to its amenities—the restaurant, sidewalk dining on that bleak corner, a rooftop lounge, free bikes and skateboards—while showing pictures of all the cool cats that live in the neighborhood and offering Bradley's recipe for fried green beans. How quaint. The best part of the hotel? The tag line: "Linger. Enjoy. Imagine. Make Friends. Experience life like a Nolitan." Of course, those who live in Nolita know this translates to, 'be ready to drop a lot of cash.'
