The Vesuvio Conundrum

New, 7 comments

2010_1_birdbath2.jpgAfter seeing today's Birdbath bakery listage pic, an angered reader rants, "It looks like they're doing business as Vesuvio Bakery to take advantage of tourists whose guidebooks haven't caught up to Vesuvio closing. It doesn't say Birdbath or anything anywhere? Not that the EV one says Birdbath anywhere but there isn't A DIFFERENT BAKERY'S SIGN. There's tribute, and there's this." To be fair, when opening in the Vesuvio space, Birdbath owner Maury Rubin said he was keeping the facade intact to appease neighborhood nostalgists. But is omitting any new signage a problem?
