Van Leeuwen's Brick and Mortar Shop Getting Closer

Could 2010 be the year where food trucks go legit? Just last week the owners of the defunct Dessert Truck opened their DT Works on Clinton Street, and word comes this morning that the Van Leeuwen folks are just a couple weeks out on their brick and mortar spot in Greenpoint. From the tipline: "My friend hung out last night with the owner of VanLewhachacallit Ice Cream. He's stoked to open the cafe next to Manhattan Inn. Due to open in two weeks. Interior by the Manhattan Inn designers is similar in appearance. Intelligencia coffee is expected."
