During the fall preview season restaurateur on hyper-speed Michael Huynh announced he would be opening a small Asian restaurant in 6 Clinton Street called B Clinton. The low key space was said to serve Vietnamese three course prix fixe $29 dinners that would change nightly. Perhaps no longer.
Emperor Huynh's former right hand man Sean Scotese, emails in to announce that he is opening a restaurant in 6 Clinton, not Huynh. Partnering with the owners of Thailand Cafe, Scotese plans on opening a restaurant called Eastern Alley: "The place will seat roughly 30 and we are serving modern Asian geared towards the neighborhood with first courses ranging from $6-$11 and seconds from $13-$20." He tells Gael Greene that he probably won't sell desserts, since DT Works, the new Dessert Truck shop, is right next door.He plans on opening next week.
