The Fate of Chanterelle's Wine; Clover Club's Haiti Benefit

UPPER WEST SIDE— Reps for Nice Matin announce that owner Simon Oren has purchased the extensive wine cellar of the now closed Chanterelle. Their cellar now holds 1,550 bottles including rare burgundies and bordeaux.

CONEY ISLAND— Jeremiah learns via Forgotten New York that the once endangered boardwalk of bars and restaurants in Coney Island, including Ruby's, will be up and running this summer: "From Beer Island to Gyro corner - every business is all ready confirmed to open for 2010. CARROLL GARDENS—In Haiti Fundraiser news, Clover Club is donating 10 percent of all sales (brunch and evening) this Sunday January 31 and the owners are matching 100 percent of those donations. They are giving to Doctors without Borders and Save the Children. [EaterWire]
