The sidewalk sheds, or winter vestibules, that encapsulate restaurant and bar doors across the city are an integral part of the winter landscape here. Pretty much identical but for the color, they have cloth walls, plastic windows, and often difficult to find doors.
Enter the sidewalk shed at Sean Avery's Tribeca sports bar Warren 77. Tribeca Citizen asks the neighborhood whether they love it (it’s eye-catching, you can actually find the door) or hate it ("traditionally, referencing downscale American architecture does not improve property values"). And of course, the locals are divided. At least it's original. Feel free to weigh in.
