25 Year-Old I Tre Merli Closes for Three Months of Renos

New, 1 comment

An Eater operative noticed a stop work order pasted to the door of I Tre Merli, the 25 year-old somewhat generic Italian spot on West Broadway in Soho. It looks like the issue has been resolved, but looking into the matter reveals the extent of the work the restaurant is undertaking. After getting approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission in December, the restaurant closed last week for a major overhaul and won't reopen until sometime in March. The architect, Daniel O'Connor, also did the Salumeria Rosi space on the UWS.
