Tonight marks the opening of Recette, an American restaurant in the old Jarnac space on the corner of 12th and Greenwich. The cozy looking 46 seat space is a permanent extension of Chef Jesse Schenker's former project, Recette Private Dining up in East Harlem. And the menu is similar to what he served at the private project uptown, but instead of tasting menus, he's offering a slew of meats, cheeses, and plates big and small with the hopes that diners will order a wide array. Christina Lee, an alum of Per Se, heads up the pastry program. And of course, there are specialty cocktails and a six seat bar.
