After 15 Years of Fun, Greenpoint's Club Exit Closes

The Brooklyn Paper reports that Greenpoint's notorious Club Exit has closed after 15 years of business. The club had was notorious for its "rowdy crowds, short skirts and violence in and outside", a business strategy that sometimes led to gunfire. a fight between at least nine people spilled out onto Greenpoint Avenue...The drunken melee, which began with a loud argument, resulted in two people unconscious, some bloody noses and plenty of police scrutiny — though the group of about seven attackers jumped into a van and left before cops arrived.
Good times! No big whoop says Exit's owner Mariusz Kupiec, who explains to the Brooklyn Paper, “people get hot at any club.”
