NYMag reports that Locanda Verde is launching a series of four Monday night dinners entitled "Fried Chicken Live" in the restaurant's back room. "His [Carmellini's] off-the-menu bird at Café Boulud was a huge hit. But at Locanda the deep-fried chicken is just part of the $38 prix fixe picture. There’ll also be a rotating guest-chef first course (homemade bacon from Char No. 4’s Matt Greco, Texas chili from the General Greene’s Julie Farias), fixings from corn to collards, and Karen DeMasco’s fruit pie for dessert."
