Bill's Bar and Burger Readying for Mid-October Debut

New, 1 comment

Bill's Bar and Burger, 22 9th Ave., MePa
Initial Projection: October
Current Debut Projection: Mid-October
Odds, On Time Arrival: Even
Eater Projected Opening Date: 10/17/09

Last month, the powers that be at BR Guest confirmed that evil genius Steve Hanson would be opening a new casual American spot called Bill's Bar and Burger in the old Hog Pit space this fall. They already released a vague sketch of the menu, but today, the full press release dropped. There's no solid date yet, but the new projection is "mid-October." There's mention of a "big, intensely juicy" burger, grouper and steak sandwiches, chicken wings, chopped salads, tater tots, onion rings, and milkshakes (spiked and not spiked). And the decor? It will feature "a mix of tin and dark woods, neon signs, and cluttered pictures on the wall...a mix of chair styles will add to the nostalgic environment." Well, if there's a potential Houston's-knock off in the nabe, might as well be a TGI Friday's imitator. Since it's Steve 'The Full' Hanson, no question that he's going to kill it.
